Nümonia are a Montreal electronic music duo, their sound ranges from old-school New Wave, to EBM and minimal synth-pop. Their live shows feature quirky performance art inspired by vintage pulp Sci-Fi novels and the 80's New York underground club scene. Their debut record ‘The Age of Nümonia’ was released in the spring of 2025 on Montreal’s Le Backstore Records

The Age of Nümonia is the first LP by Montreal new-wave duo Nümonia, featuring artist Ani Kalemkerian on vocals and synths and multi-instrumentalist Jon Asencio (Doughboys, Pest 5000). The Age of Nümonia is a concept album that combines a passion for vintage sci-fi pulp novels, experimental film, and 80’s new wave aesthetic. The album was mixed by the legendary Montreal producer Kevin Komoda (Rational Youth). For fans of Anne Clark, Visage, Gary Numan and John Carpenter’s Horror film soundtracks.
